Precision Marine Construction (PMC) specializes in the design and construction of boat ramps and launches and has been servicing the Florida and southern states for years. Boat ramps provide boat owners with access to launch and remove their boats and, if designed and constructed correctly, will provide years of service.
Boat ramps must be engineered and designed at the proper slope that should be no less than 12 percent and no greater than 16 percent on grade. To ensure safe and effective boat launching, should take care to prepare the sub-surface condition.
When constructing boat ramps using concrete, PMC always designs a minimum of 6” concrete with 3000 to 4000 psi and hardened edges with reinforcing steel to prevent cracking and failure.
When designing and constructing a ramp, it must withstand the constant exposure to the water, whether fresh or salt. The ramp must also withstand the force and impact of the water during the boat launch and removal process. Must be considered during the design phase, and the boat ramp design must handle the loads of the largest vessel that may be launched or removed.
Water Launches allow water enthusiast to safely launch their Kayaks, canoes, Sea-dos, and paddle-boards by creating a safe transition into the water with a no-slip surface. Water launches do not require as much space as boat launches and are typically behind waterfront homes and commercial or recreational areas.
